The Next Generation ACO Model is operated through the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) and launched in 2016 with additional applications rounds in 2017 and 2018. This ACO model is designed for advanced two-sided ACOs and has a number of differences from the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP). This webinar is for ACOs that began participating in the Next Generation ACO Model in 2016 along with newer Next Generation ACOs and those considering the program for 2018. We will hear directly from CMMI staff responsible for overseeing this important program, and they will share program highlights, updates and advice for ACOs as well as answer audience questions. This webinar was originally scheduled for Thursday, April 27 and has been postponed due to speaker availability.

The Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) model focuses on enhancing primary care practices through payment redesign to provide practices with financial resources and flexibility to invest in efforts to improve quality of care and reduce unnecessary utilization of healthcare services. CPC+ is a public-private partnership and in 2017 includes public and private payers in 14 regions across the country. CPC+ launched this year and includes many ACO primary care practices, which participate under a modified set of program criteria. This webinar will discuss the unique ACO practice aspects of CPC+ participation, detailing how the program structure is adapted for practices in ACOs. CMS presenters will walk through the ACO-specific CPC+ elements, answer questions and discuss plans for a second round of CPC+ participation beginning in 2018.
